January is off with a bang!

My short story THE SUMMONS placed second in Jennifer Scales (Anthony Alongi & MaryJanice Davidson) short story contest. I’m thrilled and so very surprised! http://www.jenniferscales.com/js01/

I haven’t entered many contests. And for this contest… well, besides a few short children stories I hadn’t written one. On a whim –with no expectation- I wrote the short piece because I didn’t want to let the opportunity pass by. I was blown away by the placement. BTW, THE SUMMONS isn’t a romance. It is a paranormal. I’ll have my awesome web designer load it onto my site in the coming months.

I received my final bill for my classes. I’m one step closer to graduation!

INTERESTING NEWS: June marks 25 years since the first issue of RT rolled off the presses and they have a yearlong celebration planned! In every issue for 2006 look for an article featuring a "25 List," highlighting some fun facts and juicy tidbits that will take you on a walk down memory lane. They need your help with the following lists:

• Favorite Movie Adaptation From a Book
• Favorite Romance Author Who's No Longer Writing (deceased or living)
• Favorite Romance of All Time

Please send your picks to: faygie@romantictimes.com

II think I’ve been reading RT for nearly fifteen years. I’ve enjoyed the changes and the growth of the magazine over the years.

Until later~
