I got out tonight!

Lol…no it wasn’t another baseball game.

I set in on Deidre Knight’s chat at Romance Junkies cyber home.

Ok, on to the good stuff. Paranormal. Paranormal. Paranormal. She stressed paranormal in any setting is strong. This is AWESOME since I love writing paranormal. *Grin* Ok, so, I love writing ALL my chosen genres. I aim to keep my muse happy.

Vamps are still hot! Urban fantasy is on the rise.

Erotic ROMANCE is hot. She mentioned publishers are discovering readers want romance, and at least happy for now endings with their erotic ROMANCE.

Let’s see…what else? *Grins* at Mo. We must hurry with Valiant! Deidre say’s good romantic suspense is still in demand.

Chick lit is a real hard sale. It seems the market was flooded. I’ve never read the genre myself.

Truthfully, the market hasn’t changed much since I heard Pattie Steele-Perkins speak back in November. Like with Pattie and every other speaker I’ve heard lecture… follow your muse! Follow your muse! Follow your muse! Let your muse give you the next best thing. The market will eventually come around. And i don't think it'll hurt to mix the genres up a bit. And if you need inspiration remember Sherrilyn Kenyon’s career.

New news, at least to me. Traditional publishers tend to follow e-pubs! Now, isn’t that interesting?

Something neat Deidre said- a query proposal is like a first date. If the spark isn’t there, it isn’t there.

Until later~
